Remember Full House? If you do then you would recall John Stamos playing the hunky Uncle Jesse who comes over to take care of nieces and eventually ends up having a family of his own.

Jesse was different because during that time he changes perceptions on the whole Uncle role. Where other uncles were more involved with the adults of the show, Jesse made Full House popular through giving the Uncle image a muchly welcome uplift.

For starters he was young, and having an Uncle at that age can be marvelous for a group of three nieces who think that their dad can never get through to them.
Together with changing the image of the TV uncle he also changed the sex-symbol attitude that people used to have of TV characters. Meaning he was sexy, but still never let his character be exploited as the kind of man who was after a short skirt just because he could have one, his first priority was his nieces and he was there for them whenever they needed him.

There you have him, Jesse Katsopolis, the sixth of ten TV Characters that are being honored this week on the black lullaby.
