Dancing Onward with FACT
Well, the book is out and so far the feedback has been good.
Some people though they made a few negative remarks based on what they had read but then again did not realize that that was exactly what I wanted accomplished.
But basically, now that stage one is done, it’s time to move on to stage two.
I am trying to start working as an organization that will do something to prevent Child Sex Tourism in Sri Lanka. This is a long-term plan and as we progress we will need more and more people to come in offering various areas of expertise.
But for now, we need to get this off the ground. Bottom line – I can’t do this alone. I need you guys to come on board and help me, help me help these kids.
Their mental stability, their health, their lives and their future are all at stake here and we need to stop this nightmare before it gets any scarier.
Fight Against Childsex Tourism – FACT
that’s what I wanna call it, this is how I want to start helping those kids.
So who wants to come on board?
When Tomorrow Comes
So at long last, the day has almost arrived.
I never thought I’d see this day and to be quite frank, the individual whom the book is dedicated to never thought I’d see this day either. Well, putting us both to shame, the day is tomorrow, yep, tomrrow’s the day my book launches.
There are so many people I would like to thank but I’m gonna do that at the Launch tomorrow.
Everyone who requested to be there can walk in, as I’ve said before.
We might run out of food but that’s besides the point.
I’m thrilled, excited, slightly nervous, a little stressed and badly in need of a drink. But this should all die down by Saturday… or Sunday hopefully.
Thank you to everyone who’s been in and out of this blog and kept checking in every step of the way to see how the progress of my book was going.
Thanks for all your wishes and precious words, which, believe you me, have given me more courage and strength than you could imagine.
The Black Lullaby smiles today because you smile with him.
Thank you.

Live from Phuket
Hello all,
Well here’s hoping in a general way that everyone is doing fantastic, because I sure as hell know I am!!! At this very moment in time, I’m sitting in a drop dead gorgeous room at a resort called Le Meridien in a little town called Khao Lak just about a mile from Thailand’s only island – Phuket.
I’m here on a workshop but that starts tomorrow and until it does, I get to relax.
You know after being to Bangkok and Pattaya you would think you’ve seen all of Thailand and what it has to offer. Let me tell you something, Phuket is NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING like either of those places.
The people over here in Khao Lak are warm and friendly and some of them have no idea of what places like Pattaya are all about. I was speaking with one of the stewardesses at breakfast this morning and she asked me where else in Thailand I had been to. When I told her I had been to Pattaya, she could not believe her ears because she herself has not been there yet.
On my way to the hotel from the airport I had to make a quick stop at a mini-mart to buy some cigarettes and I opened the door as soon as the car stopped. The driver ran over and held his head in disbelief because I opened the door all by myself and didn’t let him do it.
I misplaced my phone in the shuttle that took me to dinner last night and realized it only half an hour later. We made a call to the hotel and explained to them what happened and when the shuttle was back to pick us up at 9, the driver took the phone out of his pocket and gave it to me with both hands a big smile on his face.
This morning after breakfast I went down to the beach to read a book. I found it hard to believe that the beach I sat on was one of the places that the Tsunami had damaged the most. It is so unbelievably beautiful and everything about this place can only calm you down. All my friends at work expected Phuket to be as lively and filled with transfusing entertainment as Pattaya was and frankly so did I. But we were all so wrong.
The drive up here was the other thing that entranced me. As I looked around me I could suddenly feel myself being transported upward to Nuwara Eliya but the very next minute I look down and there’s the beach that reminds me of Unawatuna. One second we’re surrounded by scenes that take me to Kandy and the next we’re in Yala!
The hotel is outstanding and I’m in love with the bathroom, it’s got a bathtub that has a tat next to it, and when you roll it up, it’s a glass wall that seperates you from the bedroom. You can turn the TV all the way around and just chill there for hours… I know I did. And best of all, with all 30 participants at the workshop, the hotel is at 20% occupancy, which means that we’ve got this place more or less to ourselves.
When the workshop starts tomorrow I know I won’t be seeing much more of the place and then I’m flying back next Sunday night, but with what I have experienced so far, let me tell you, the ideal getaway is right here.
This may be my only post till I get back to Colombo so lots of love to all and if I know you, then you see you when I get back.
