The Fairy Dance is my first nove, which was launched on the 21st of September 2007. The book is now available at all leading bookstores island wide.
To know more about the book you can read one of the articles below
Brandon Ingram on The Fairy Dance
I have to thank everyone for the support they’ve shown and also for all the criticism, which I’ve taken positively and I hope through it, to improve my second book, which can be expected sometime towards the end of 2008.
For more info on that book please check out the “Why Gods Don’t Cry” page of this blog.

Brandix, a friend of mine in the UK is interested in purchasing The Fairy Dance, but she’s unsure whether it’s available there. Do you know if she’ll be able to get her hands on it in any way?

Thanks Brandon.
Hello Sir, I would like to know that where from UK I can purchase your book (The Fairy Dance). If you can give me some information on it, I would be really grateful.
Your third book seems like exciting aswell, all the best for it, my best wishes are with you.
I read your novel ‘Fairy Dance’. it seems that you are a born novelist. Your language is very poetic and its like watching a cinema. Waiting for your second novel.
by the way why not you translate Fairy Dance in to sinhala. If you want me to do that i can do it.

I’d seen ur book many times on the shelves all over the island, but was a bit apprehensive on pickin it up(reasons unknown even to me =))
but yesterday i finally picked it up and finished readin this afternoon. it was one of the most moving stories i had read!
i’m a teacher of speech and drama, and sadly, i had to encounter such a child earlier in my career. maybe it was that i was very young and didn’t know much on how to handle such information, but unfortunately i did not do anything about this information i recieved. to date i regret it. however, after reading ur book, something, that was hidden under many layers of nothing, unearthed.
I’m not sure wat i’ll do, but i thank you for ‘reminding me’ that i MUST do something about these kind of kids.
as Ms. Rahubadda stated, i didn’t just read ur book, but i actually ‘watched’ the story…
many congrats to u and ur wonderful story!
as a writer there can be no greater gift than that of being able to give someone a piece of themselves back through my writing. if i’ve helped inspire you it’s only because those children inspired me to say something, to do something, to bring something to light.
i appreciate your words very much,
thank you…
brandon
has anyone taken the rights for ur book to make a movie?
not presently, no.
i like this article…
Hi Brandon,
One of my friends introduced me to your blog once and I curiosity led me to pick your book from The Barefoot Bookshop. You are truly gifted a writer and I’m glad I brought the book.
I love the breath taking and gorgeous beaches in Hikka but I’m glad that someone took the time to see beyond that beauty, to feel someones pain and agony instead of just enjoying that beauty to be seen to our naked eyes..
From the little that I have read about you I have come to understand you are someone who take criticism in a positive way and what I’m about to say is not to discourage you in anyway. The only line I didnt like is where you talk about Sita as a PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A TRADITIONAL SRI LANKAN WIFE’. Personally I think it can give a very wrong impression to people about Traditional Sri Lankan wives, specially to your readers who have not lived in Sri Lanka or who have not experienced our culture. There are many Traditional Sri Lankan wives who lead good lives ..
For an example my mother is a Traditional Sri Lankan Wife by all means, but she does not lead a life like Sita.. She is a woman who adores her husband and adored back by her husband (My wonderful father) and she’s got some strong values and beliefs imprinted in her, through generations of Traditional Sri Lankans in her family but she leads a wonderful and happy married life for the past 30 odd years, She’s got a career, takes care of her family, helps people and well known among her family & friends to be almost a Super Woman.
I know few other people just like my mom who are very traditional yet with healthy balanced lives.. Anyways it was just a personal thought about a simple line that disturbed me.. No biggy..
But all in all your book was amazing. It was definitely one of those which I didn’t want to put down till I was done reading.. The book might be just 141 pages but I’m sure it will open up eyes of at least few people, who actually want to make a difference in the society. I hope and pray the little difference you made will make a big change someday in our precious little country…
I wish you luck for all your future endeavors and you can consider me as a great fan of yours
May god always be with you
Your newest fan,
Suli
